Altered Tapestry
ACDA has launched their latest book entitled ‘Altered Tapestry’.
This book project was no ordinary task. Putting together the stories in itself was a transforming experience of weaving true-to-life tales of miracles big and small. As stories came in one by one, threads of lessons entwined by strands of joy and pain came together on the loom of the heart, producing what could be a tapestry of altered lives.
Indeed these pages contain “an altered tapestry.” “Altered” because each story records how diverse experiences carry a single theme of hope and restoration that led to life change. “Tapestry” because put together, each account formed a beautiful interconnectedness through one Spirit – proof to the works of a God who not only holds the entire universe but individual lives, whole tribes and entire communities.
The “altered tapestry” comes in this volume as threads come together in a weaving loom. Each thread is different. Each thread is unique. On its own it can be seen as a spool of value. Together, it forms a grand creation. The tapestry is not ACDA. Instead, it is the Lord’s woven masterpiece that can only bring us to a state of awe and reverence to Him. He is the Master Weaver who put together isolated threads of lives with varying hues and turned them into a tapestry that depicts His transforming power.
This comes with a warning, though. The tapestry is still unfinished. The stories have no denouement. Some would probably leave you hanging, wanting for more. The thing is, for those people of whom the stories were told, their journey is still continuing. The invitation is for us to be a part of the journey; to join the weaving process. Perhaps as you read along, you will find answers to your own questions. Perhaps you will find a voice that will express your own transformation. Perhaps, it will be your story that will form the missing sections of the tapestry.
