By God’s grace, ACDA has survived the first ten years of its life as an alliance of development organizations. It is now in the threshold of more exciting discoveries. Thus, our thanksgiving is two-fold: thanking the Lord for the decade that He has allowed ACDA to experience. And thanking Him for giving us high excitement towards the next decade. We rejoice over what we as an organization has accomplished in the past, at the same time we are so much excited over possibilities for the future. We dare say that our dreams for ACDA are more exciting than our memories of it.
As of this time, ACDA has 32 members. It started in 1999 with 13 members. I wish to congratulate the 13 founding members. All your efforts are now bearing fruits. ACDA is growing and will continue to grow as long as we are animated by the common spirit of empowering and transforming people and communities for God’s Kingdom. I wish to welcome the new members. Thank you for deciding to be with ACDA. Together, we will learn and serve in “transforming poor and marginalized communities through holistic ministries.”
Together with one another and with the Lord Jesus, there is no telling how far we can go in the next decade. It is for us to claim what Paul said in Ephesians 3:20, “Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us.” (excerpts from Pastor Joey message to ACDA during the 10th Anniversary Celebration)
